Introduction: Sildenafil, also known as Viagra (registered as Wanaikuo in mainland China and as Viagra in Taiwan and Hong Kong), is a drug originally developed for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases but was accidentally discovered to treat male erectile dysfunction. Usage:
- Once a day, 25mg~50mg (half to one tablet) one hour before sexual activity, taken with water
- For the elderly (65 years and older), patients with impaired liver function, and patients with severe renal impairment (Ccr <30 mL/min), because the plasma concentration increases after exposure to the drug, it is recommended to start with a dose of 25 mg (half tablet)
- Can be taken once a day, with at least 24 hours between doses
